Pre Production
It was the year 2000 when I wanted to make a war movie, but I knew that at that moment I didn’t have enough knowledge and equipment to pull such a project. I wanted it real and good rather than quick and poor.
On March 2001, I had a great story. I explained the movie that was in my head to Lucas Cheong. Due to the things I had in mind. It was impossible to make it. I change the script and made it smaller, I need to make sure it was possible to film it with what we had.
Production
By June, I had the script ready to go. The casting took a few months, but I finally completed. The greatest problem we had was to find the props and location for the movie. I needed the props to look as real as they can get. The location took me a while to find. I decided we were going to shoot at Taylor Creek Park, where we did Terror Creek and Rouge Park at the border of Pickering. Rouge Park was about thirty minutes away and we had only one car. So most of the short scenes were taken at Taylor Creek Park. The next step was finding a warehouse to shoot the “Gearing up” scene with Matthew Windsor. I used the same place where we shot No Escape.
We schedule to start the shoot on July. During that month, most of the cast had to go to summer school, so the date was shift to August. We shot a couple of short scenes during July, but most of the shooting was done in August. Filming the movie took an entire month. When September came I just needed the transition scenes. The aerial views were taken at the Canadian National Tower.
Post Production
Editing the movie took about a month. It included building the website and making posters for the movie. We had screenings for the cast and crew. The making of the movie would soon take progress.
